Biography
Professor PhD Ludmila Kasjanenko is the true successor of the pianistic
traditions, which are rooted in Beethoven. Her name is included in the World Internet
Encyclopedia of Pianists (pianistscorner.com), which include professional musicians
representing top world schools.
Currently Lyudmila is based in Odessa and teaches at the K.D.Ushinsky South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University and the Odessa National A.V.Nezhdanova
Academy of Music.
For many years prof. Kasyanenko taught at the Petro Tchaikovsky National
Music Academy of Ukraine, as well as at the Frederic Chopin University of Music in
Warsaw, where she headed the Department of Piano, Organ and Harpsichord at the
Instrumental-Pedagogical Faculty. Prof. Kasyanenko has trained many laureates of
piano competitions. The best graduates of her class are successy touring around the
world, teach at music academies, earn advanced academic degrees.
Kasyanenko received her education within the walls of the Moscow State
Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the class of the world famous Russian pianist and teacher
Victor Merzhanov. Under his guidance, she completed her BM and postgraduate
studies. Since then she has been actively giving concerts in different European
countries, has made a number of archival recordings, as well as CDs, many
performances shared on YouTube.
Lyudmila Kasyanenko is the author of many articles on the craft of pianism and
the interpretation of musical works. In 1998, her book "Język muzyki" ("The Language
of Music") was published in Poland, and in 2003 in Kiev - a textbook for music universities "The Pianist's Work on Texture". Lyudmila Kasyanenko's scientific works
in the theory of performance, as well as discoveries in the field of research of F.
Chopin's creativity received high international assessment, including in the form of a
nomination in 2002 for AMERICAN MEDAL OF HONOR (USA).
Ludmila’s pedagogical skills are honored with numerous diplomas and awards.
Among others Diploma of the "VIVA MUSICA" Foundation (Poland), Diploma for the
preparation of the laureate of the VII International Competition "In memory of
VLADIMIR HOROWITZ" (Ukraine). For her special contribution to the development
of music education in Poland, Lyudmila Kasyanenko was awarded the BRĄZOWY
KRZYŻ ZASŁUGI Order (Bronze Cross of Merit, certificate number 69-2005-73).
Lyudmila Kasyanenko successfully combines her pedagogical, concert and
scientific work with activities in the field of international cooperation. Thanks to her
initiative and active participation, international meetings, visits of delegations to
international festivals, master classes and seminars are held.
Her special courses on performing arts and pianistic skills are very popular.
